Ligardes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

The village of Ligardes is a fortified village that probably originated in the 13th century. Ligardes was built below the château on a slightly elevated, 167-metre-high hill.

The Château de Campaigno has a main construction phase dating from the 18th century. Until the 15th century, it was a fief of the Révignan family. As vassals, they served the Marquis de Firmaçon and were co-lords of Ligardes.

The Fontaine du roi is part of Ligardes’ traditional local cultural heritage.

Townscape

The Church of Saint-Hilaire in Ligardes stands on a rocky promontory and overlooks the surrounding area. It has a Gothic western portal with two archivolts and capitals decorated with leaves.

A landscaped English-style park lies to the west and north of the Château de Campaigno.
