Larressingle: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
The fortified village of Larressingle is surrounded by a dry moat. Its impressive 13th-century fortification walls are crowned with battlement towers, and the recently restored former drawbridge leads into the village.
The Church of Saint-Sigismond has been listed as a Monument historique since 1988. The first part of the nave of the Church of Saint-Sigismond is believed to have been built in the 11th century.
At the edge of the fortified town of Larressingle lies the Medieval Siege Camp, a medieval siege camp. Medieval weapons are presented there; there is also a weapons room, a blacksmith's workshop and demonstrations of stone cutting. Visitors can operate a catapult, a sling, a tinker, a trebuchet and a crossbow at the Medieval Siege Camp.
