Bourrouillan is a former Castelnau with remains of a corner tower and part of the moats. Several legends are associated with Le Catalan in Bourrouillan.
The church of Bourrouillan was almost completely rebuilt in 1869. A white marble votive altar is located in the château park of Bourrouillan. In the wider region around Bourrouillan lies the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste d'Aire.

Nature
Bourrouillan is part of the Natura 2000 area “Réseau hydrographique du Midou et du Ludon”. At 178 metres, Le Catalan is the highest point in Bourrouillan and offers views as far as the Pyrenees.
The old L'Escoubillon pond, dating from the 16th century, was restored in 1995. European pond turtles and birds are observed in large numbers every year in the restored pond. L'Escoubillon pond also preserves quiet zones that are favourable for the reproduction of fauna dependent on aquatic habitats.
The private garden of the Domaine de Lagréau in Bourrouillan is laid out over four levels with an orchard, vegetable garden, terraces, fir plantations and marl pits.
