The main building of the Château de Valady dates from the late 15th or early 16th century and has an L-shaped floor plan. The eastern façade served as an enclosure and is fitted with loopholes.

The “Valady – Les trois Vallons” route starts and ends at the Place de l’église et de la Mairie in Valady. The “Nuces – Le sentier des terrasses” route passes through the villages of Fijaguet, Gradels and Nuces.

Paths and landscape

The Terra Trail Route No. 11 in Valady starts and ends at the carpool parking area at the entrance to the village. It passes through the AOP Marcillac vineyards and into the red, clay-rich Rougiers.

The “Nuces – Le sentier des terrasses” route runs along the foot of former terraces that were once covered with grapevines.

The Cave Le Vallon in Valady offers a visitor area dedicated to Marcillac wine, as well as tastings of its various wine blends. It also offers visitors a film lasting around ten minutes.
