Tournemire: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
At the Cirque de Tournemire, there is an upgraded car park, a discovery trail and an information board. The ENS of the Cirque de Tournemire covers around 130 hectares and marks the boundary between the Avant-Causses and the Causse du Larzac.

Nature and Earth History
The “Espace Nature Aveyron” mobile app provides information about the animal and plant life of the Cirque de Tournemire and presents the ENS circular trail. At the Maison du Plésiosaure, information boards provide details about geology, plesiosaurs, flora, birds and bats.
The Maison du Plésiosaure also displays a replica of the marine reptile’s skeleton. A complete skeleton of the 180-million-year-old marine reptile Occitanosaurus tournemirensis was discovered at the Cirque de Tournemire.
Culture and History
The church of Tournemire, Saint Martin de Lodies, was built between the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Tournemire-Roquefort railway station was built in October 1874 and is served by the Intercité Aubrac.
Hiking
The hike at the Cirque de Tournemire begins at the car park by the town hall in the town centre. A hiking route to Roquefort begins at Tournemire-Roquefort railway station and leads over the Col des Aiguières.
The “De La Maison de Vigne à St-Jean-d'Alcas” route begins at the car park of the Maison du Plésiosaure. It is 20.68 kilometres long and involves 497 metres of ascent.
Local Tradition
At the Broche et Gourmandises workshop, the tradition of gâteau à la broche is preserved. At Broche et Gourmandises, a tasting is included at the end of the visit.
