Trails and culture

Le tour d'Alzac runs along a path lined with boxwood, between hedges, fences and two-kilometre-long stone walls. The route is family-friendly and passes through the mas of Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès, characterised by solid Caussenard architecture.

The Sentier des collines is a moderately difficult, 15.9 km-long hiking route with a duration of 4 hours and 30 minutes. After crossing the hamlet of Saint-Étienne-de-Naucoules, it descends along the Truans stream.

The Trail N°27 Saint Jean d'Alcapiès is a moderately difficult, 19.7 km circular route starting and ending in Alcapia in Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès. The Sentier du Volcan forms the return route to Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès during the final third of Trail N°27.

Entre Causses et Vallées is a 22 km route between the Sorgues Valley, the heights of Hermilix and traditional agricultural landscapes. The Lavogne d'Hermilix now serves as a refuge for numerous animal species and forms a small, species-rich ecosystem.

The Voie Verte du St-Affricain is an easy, family-friendly and partly shaded path, partly laid out along a former railway line. The Voie Verte connects Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès with the hamlet of Le Cambon via the town centre of Saint-Affrique and then Vabres-l'Abbaye.
