The Château de Peyrelade is a medieval fortress built between the 12th and 16th centuries.
Culture
The Château de Peyrelade features a scenographically designed tour with models, information panels and a video. During a visit, visitors can learn about the history and unusual architecture of the site, as well as the restoration and excavation work carried out over more than 30 years.
Gastronomy
The Cave de Peyrelade boutique in Rivière-sur-Tarn allows visitors to learn about the production process and taste Bleu des Causses AOP. Bleu des Causses AOP Cave de Peyrelade is matured for a total of 15 weeks, including two weeks in natural caves. The Cave de Peyrelade boutique is open all year round.
Landscape
The cave villages of Entre-Deux-Monts are located on rugged limestone; underground air currents with a constant temperature, known as “Fleurines”, provide natural ventilation there. The cave village of Entre-Deux-Monts formerly served as a meeting place for Sunday afternoon snacks.
Water
The Canoë Gorges du Tarn base offers three downstream routes of 20 km, 15 km or 10 km. The Canoë Gorges du Tarn rental base in Rivière-sur-Tarn offers canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding in the Gorges du Tarn and is located at the entrance to the Gorges du Tarn.
Hiking
The hiking trail to the Piédestal de Fontaneilles follows the signposted route to the wine cellars of Entre-Deux-Monts.
