Curvalle: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Château de Curvalle is located on the banks of the Rance opposite the village of Plaisance in Aveyron, on a rocky ridge more than 300 metres long in a bend of the river.
For a stay in Curvalle, travellers want to rent a holiday apartment.
History
In the 11th century, the Château de Curvalle belonged to the extensive lordship of the Trencavel family, the viscounts of Albi and Ambialet. In 1666, the family’s possessions, including the Château de Curvalle and the Château de Plaisance, were designated for destruction.
Culture
Historically, Curvalle’s economy included agriculture, viticulture, chestnut cultivation and crafts; almost twenty mills stood along the various waterways.
