Compolibat is located on the long-distance hiking trail GR62b, which connects Rodez with Villefranche-de-Rouergue. The Igues du Py et de Rouffiés are natural gorges formed by erosion in the red clay and are also known by the nickname “chemin des fées.”

Nature and Trails
The Compolibat–Le Py–Les Igues hike takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, is 5 km long, involves 110 metres of elevation gain, and is of medium difficulty.
La Roche du Py has around 30 equipped climbing routes ranging from 8 to 25 metres in length, with a low to medium level of difficulty. The climbing area is located on the right bank of the Aveyron River; the climbing routes can be reached via a path in five minutes from the Pont de Roquenoubal.

The intermunicipal leisure facility in Compolibat offers a fitness trail, children’s play areas, tennis and volleyball courts, table tennis, a picnic area with barbecue facilities, mini-golf, outdoor bowling and an orienteering course.
Culture and History
The Pont du Cambon was built in 1829 according to plans by the parish priest of Compolibat to transport limestone from the area around Villeneuve to the Ségala region, and was restored in 1999.
The church of Compolibat dates from the 17th century, was modified several times over the course of the past four centuries, and has an unusual bell tower with four corner turrets.
Near the Pont de Roquenoubal stands a cross carved in 1807 in a naïve style, whose shaft bears a snake and a ladder. At the end of June, Compolibat hosts a Midsummer bonfire and a storytelling walk. Opposite the village school stands a stele dedicated to Henri Mouly.
The historical sites Abbaye de Loc-Dieu, Prieuré de Vic-lès-Capdenac, Abbaye Saint-Sauveur and Abbaye Sainte-Foy de Conques are located in the wider region surrounding Compolibat.
