Les Étangs are former sand quarries that have been transformed by Savignac-les-Ormeaux into a natural area. There are free opportunities for walking, picnicking and relaxing. A fishing permit is required for fishing at Les Étangs; it is available at the reception desk of the local campsite or from the tourist office in Ax.

Nature
The Savignac Valley is one of the access routes to the Rulhe Massif. It is crossed by the Ruisseau du Najar and includes several jasses used as grazing areas, as well as several shepherds’ huts that are also used as shelters.
Hiking
The Tour des montagnes d’Ax hiking trail runs through the valley and provides access to the Refuge du Rulhe via the Col de Belh. Another hiking trail along the Ruisseau du Najar passes a waterfall and then reaches the Prat Redon.
The Chemin de la Quère is a 6.9 km hike lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, with an ascent of 200 m and a difficulty level above average. The circular hike can be started from Savignac-les-Ormeaux; large car parks and the Malazéou and La Marmotte campsites are available as starting points.
Culture
The façades and roofs of the Château de Savignac have been listed as a historic monument since 10 December 1976. The intact north and west façades date back to the 15th century. The three-storey southern façade is flanked by two dovecote towers, whose four-sided roofs are covered with scale-cut slate tiles. The war memorial in Savignac-les-Ormeaux was erected in 1921.
