In Miglos, the imposing ruins of the Château de Miglos stand on a limestone outcrop in the Vicdessos Valley; their architectural features date back to the 14th century. Culture and History

At the entrance to Arquizat stands the large granite block known as the Roc de l’Andourra, crowned by a cross. It was formerly used as a place to collect transit tolls.

The ruins of the Château d’Arquizat have a quadrangular perimeter wall with two towers, one of which has five levels. The Église d’Arquizat has three naves covered by round-arched barrel vaults, leading to three apses with quarter-sphere vaults.

Twelve panels about the history of the church are displayed on the outer wall of the Église Saint Hilaire in Norgeat. The inhabitants of Miglos call the manor house “Castèlh”.

Nature

Miglos is part of the Montcalm et Vicdessos natural area, which is designated as a type 2 ZNIEFF. The Grottes de Niaux, a named cave, is located in the immediate vicinity of Miglos.
