Le Pla: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Le Pla is the starting point for several trails: the 4 km Tour de Montferrant route begins here. It is family-friendly, provides easy access to panoramic views over the entire valley, and leads to the discovery of a former spinning mill as well as stone remains, including a stone wall and an engraving in the rock.

Hiking

The route to Étang du Laurenti is 5.6 km long, signposted, and designed as an out-and-back trail; it begins in Le Pla and passes through a forest. The hike to Étang du Laurenti starts at a developed car park on the forest road near Refuge du Laurenti. The hike to the summit of Roc Blanc follows a trail overlooking Étang du Laurenti.

The route Le Tour des villages du Donezan connects the seven villages of Donezan. It can be started from any of the seven villages along the circuit.

Culture

Le Pla’s war memorial is located near the former municipal school at the exit of Le Pla on the road to Quérigut.

Agriculture

At the GAEC de la Bruyante farm, 65 Aubrac cows are taken to graze in the high mountains from May to October and are accompanied by their calves. The GAEC de la Bruyante farm occasionally opens its doors for activities.

A 1.5-hour farm tour at Les Cochonneries de Resplandy includes a walk through the free-range areas, an encounter with the black pigs, an introduction to organic farming, animal welfare, and farming know-how, as well as a tasting of traditionally produced products such as saucisson, coppa, pâté, and grilled meat. Les Cochonneries de Resplandy offers fresh black pork and charcuterie in Le Pla.
