Sainte-Marguerite: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Sainte-Marguerite is located at the confluence of the Meurthe and Fave rivers. It also features an open landscape with little relief, typical of a valley floor. Anyone considering Sainte-Marguerite for their stay may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Landscape

A distinctive natural experience is the Sentier de l’Amitié, a forest hiking trail between Sainte-Marguerite and Remémont. The trail is 10 kilometres long, has 215 metres of elevation gain and is marked with green and red crosses.

Local life

Sainte-Marguerite’s weekly market takes place on Wednesday mornings in the town hall car park on Allée des Sports. Depending on the season, several regular traders take part.

Candice Bakes offers small French pastry workshops for beginners and experienced amateur bakers in Sainte-Marguerite. At each workshop, participants make a dessert and take both the dessert and the recipe home with them.

At La Petite Boule, you can play pétanque in your free time after becoming a member. La Petite Boule also organises numerous annual pétanque competitions.

History

The Sainte-Marguerite tower was classified as a historic monument in June 1926. Remains of the former structure are still incorporated into the walls of the present-day tower.
