Nature and landscape
The Moraine de Noirgueux consists of four moraine ridges formed by a glacier around 15,000 years ago. It includes an educational trail connected to local history during the Second World War.
The Étang de la Demoiselle is a 15-hectare pond of glacial origin. The body of water is a Natura 2000 site recognised for the reproduction of insects and for seven documented animal species of national and regional interest. A circular trail leads around the Étang de la Demoiselle and provides information panels about its sensitive ecosystem.
The Étang de Huchère lies in the heart of the Saint-Nabord state forest and can be explored independently and free of charge along marked trails.
Trails and circuits
The mountain biking trails in Saint-Nabord comprise almost 90 kilometres of marked paths in total. The Saint-Nabord trail centre connects mountain biking trails, the TSN and marked trails maintained by the Club Vosgien. It includes six marked circular routes starting at the Stade des Perrey, including one route for Nordic walking.
There are four starting points for the mountain biking trails, at Les Perrey or the Arboretum; they run through the municipality. The routes are described for both families and experienced mountain bikers.
Another designated route is the “La stèle de Noirgueux” hike. It is 11.2 kilometres long, takes 2 hours and 45 minutes, has an elevation difference of 114 metres and is marked with a blue disc.
Culture and history
The Maison du patrimoine has been located in the centre of the village since 2006, in a former 18th-century presbytery. It displays furnishings from kitchens and dining rooms dating from the early 20th century, including furniture, crockery and kitchen utensils.
Views and bodies of water
The Belvédère de Montiroche viewpoint offers a panoramic view of Remiremont and has a developed bench. The Belvédère de Montiroche is accessible from the Rond Caillou car park in the municipality of Saint-Nabord.
