The Tanet-Gazon du Faing national nature reserve covers 505 hectares in the municipalities of Plainfaing and Le Valtin in the Vosges département. It encompasses high-altitude beech forests, heathlands, meadows and a nationally significant peat bog complex. The Tanet-Gazon du Faing sector also contains 90 hectares of intact raised bogs.

The Église Saint-Nicolas was built in 1783 and houses numerous cultural and historical treasures.
The Chapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste is located in the hamlet of Le Rudlin, near the Étang des Dames, and was built in the 17th century. During the First World War, its surroundings served as a provisional military cemetery.
