The Église Saint-Bénigne in Damblain has been fully classified as a historic monument since June 11, 1964. In May 2008, archaeologists discovered five narrow, richly decorated rooms in Damblain among the remains of a Gallo-Roman farmstead.

Archaeological investigations carried out before the redevelopment of the former Damblain air base revealed a Gallo-Roman and medieval settlement across five hectares. The residential area (pars urbana) of a Gallo-Roman villa was the owner's residence within a large agricultural estate.

The altarpiece is crowned by a heraldic shield bearing the coats of arms of Lorraine and Bar. In the wider surrounding region, bells were cast in the 18th century by founders from Damblain and Lunéville.

Damblain is part of the 19,836-hectare bird protection area Bassigny, partie Lorraine (FR4112011). The Follot stream, its banks and its riparian woodland form an area in Damblain classified as a natural zone (N) and therefore protected.

Six species of Community interest have been recorded in Damblain: European honey buzzard, grey-headed woodpecker, Montagu's harrier, red-backed shrike, black kite and red kite.
