Culture and history
The Église paroissiale Saint-Epvre was built in the 14th century; the choir and the bay directly adjoining it have survived from this construction period. The nave and bell tower were rebuilt between 1786 and 1787. From 1820 to 1822, the bell tower and the Saint-Hubert chapel were heightened according to plans by Abel Mathey.
The two bells, Victoire and Marie Anne, were cast in 1826 by the Cochois bell-foundry family from Vignot. The washhouse in Brechainville is also associated with Abel Mathey: in 1820, the architect built it from rubble masonry with a gabled roof. Brechainville is also home to a circular dovecote dating from the 17th century.

The Sauveuil is a stream that runs through Brechainville. The commune is one of the communes within the ZNIEFF “PAYS DE NEUFCHATEAU”, a type 2 ecological area of interest.
The Grand mosaic is located in the vicinity of Brechainville. It measures 234 m², is one of the largest mosaics in Europe, and has been preserved at its original location.
