Bonvillet: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Bonvillet sandstone quarry can be visited free of charge all year round. It was restored and enhanced by the Association Villageoise; the quarry also has an educational trail that is accessible to everyone.

Culture and history

Bonvillet’s Fête du grès takes place every year at the end of August and brings the work of the quarry workers back to life. For 2021–2022, visits to the Bonvillet quarry and workshops on stone-related trades were offered.

The historic site of Abbaye de Droiteval is located near Bonvillet. The wider region around Bonvillet is home to the historic site of Abbaye de Clairefontaine, the Côte de Virine summit and the ruins of Morimond Abbey.

Hiking

The Sentier des carriers (n°33) is an easy, 4 km, one-hour circular hike. It starts at Impasse de La Forge Kaïtel in Bonvillet and leads to several former stone extraction sites. On the Sentier des carriers (n°33), hikers can see the Saône winding through the Bonvillet valley.

Cycling

The B5 – La source de la Saône cyclosportive loop crosses the Saône in Bonvillet.
