Villing brings together several restored Lorraine houses in the village centre, along with the Church of Saint Clement. Geographical location

Villing is located along the Metz–Saarbrücken road corridor, designated RN 954. The village lies in the upper valley of a small tributary of the Nied. At Villing, the border runs across the limestone plateau made of shell limestone and does not follow any natural feature.

The hills of Wolfesberg, Sauberg, Großer Berg and Schloßberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Villing.

Hiking and cycling

The Circuit des sentiers de la Zang hiking trail is 11.90 km long and connects Villing, Leiding and Voelfling-lès-Bouzonville. The hiking trails of the Communauté de Communes de la Houve were signposted by the Conseil Général de la Moselle and laid out by the Club Vosgien.

The Circuit de la Nied et Warndt cycling route passes through Villing. Along its route through Villing, it offers numerous views of the Warndt plain.

Culture

Maison Lorraine, a museum, is located in the immediate vicinity of Villing. Château Saint-Sixte, a château, and Abbaye de Freistroff, an abbey, are also located nearby. In the wider regional area around Villing is Ouvrage du Bambesch, a fortification.
