The present-day church of Peltre was rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style from 1873 onwards after its destruction in 1870. Its interior has been renovated; the church contains stained-glass windows from the 20th century.

Archaeological excavations in the municipality of Peltre have brought several Gallo-Roman villas to light, including Champs Dorés and Mercy. The present-day Chemin Vert is traditionally identified as the route of an ancient Roman road from Reims to Strasbourg via Metz.
The chapel of the Sœurs de la Providence in Peltre houses the Vierge à l'Enfant, a polychrome limestone sculpture from the first quarter of the 14th century that is classified as a historic object.
