Niderviller: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Niderviller combines church history, a ceramics tradition and boat trips. The present-day tower of Niderviller Church was built in 1762. The church is a Baroque building with a bell tower considered unique in the region.
Culture and History
Inside, the church houses the Vierge des Faïenciers, reconstructed in 1991. Missing parts of the mould were supplemented using the same manufacturing and decoration techniques as those used for the original creation. Individual visitors can visit the outdoor areas of the Faïencerie de Niderviller as part of a self-guided tour.
The first factory of the Faïencerie de Niderviller was established in 1735. After a fire, it was rebuilt between 1754 and 1756 for the production of hard-paste porcelain. The Faïencerie de Niderviller is partly listed as a historic monument. In 1772, the “Terre de Pipe” was created, which made a significant contribution to the Manufacture de Niderviller’s reputation today.
Water
From Niderviller, small boats can be rented for half-day or full-day trips without a boat licence. Kuhnle Tours offers small boats for four or six people for hire from Niderviller. From Niderviller, boat trips can head westwards to the Grande Ecluse de Réchicourt-le-Château or eastwards to the inclined plane.
The Kuhnle-Tours marina has a boatyard with a 25-tonne crane for launching boats. The Kuhnle-Tours marina also has disabled access, showers, a laundry, a harbour master's office, winter storage, visitor berths, picnic areas and Wi-Fi.
The Écurie de la Cantera offers trail rides for French and foreign tourists. The activities also include multi-day rides lasting two days or more, with overnight accommodation along the route, as well as riding lessons from the age of three.
