History

Near Metting, the Circuit de l'Eselbahn starts in Vilsberg. It is a 12-kilometre hiking trail with a stated duration of four hours. The Circuit de l'Eselbahn partly follows a former metre-gauge railway that connected Lutzelbourg with Drulingen and transported dressed sandstone blocks from the quarries of Vilsberg and Hangviller to the Marne-Rhine Canal in Lutzelbourg.
