Marieulles lies between the hills on the right bank of the Moselle and the Seille plain. Marieulles has existed since at least 50 BC; as part of « l’Isle » between the Moselle and the Seille, the village is documented in 691 under the name Mariolas.

Landscape
In Vezon, the vineyards of Domaine Enivrance lie on a south-east-facing slope above the Seille Valley. Viticulture and the occupations associated with it were the most important activity of the inhabitants of Marieulles until the beginning of the 20th century.
History and Architectural Heritage
The Church of Saint Martin features construction phases dating from the 13th to the 18th century. Inside, there is a choir with a 15th-century oculus. Its fortified bell tower is a massive three-storey tower with loopholes and belonged to the group of fortified churches in the Pays Messin.
The Chapel of Vezon was built in 1538 by the monks of Saint-Clément and dedicated to Saint Leonard. In the past, women from the surrounding area made pilgrimages to the iron-rich spring at the entrance to Vezon and drank from it. The water of the Pschotte is no longer drinkable today.

The municipality of Marieulles-Vezon has a nature walk called « Promenade des orchidées ». It begins at the Place de la Mairie in Marieulles at an elevation of 240 m, is 7.50 km long, has an elevation gain of 165 m and has a stated duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Vezon, the village in the municipality of Marieulles-Vezon, lies on the Pays Messin fortified churches circuit. The 46 km-long « Route des Vins du Pays Messin » can be explored by bicycle, car or on foot; it crosses the wine-growing area on the outskirts of Metz and connects 20 villages between Marieulles-Vezon in the south and Marange-Silvange in the north.
Wine and Regional Products
The Distillerie de Mélanie is a fruit producer in Marieulles-Vezon and specialises in Lorraine mirabelle plum brandy. It offers tours of its distillery followed by tastings of its products. The visits last one hour, take place exclusively by prior appointment and are offered only in French.
The « Balade apéro dans les vignes » takes place on the first Saturday of every month and includes an approximately 1.5-hour guided tour of the vineyards, with headlamps in winter, an insight into work in the cellar, and a tasting of the winery's wines with a selection of local products.
The « Route des Vins de Moselle » passes through Vezon, or more precisely the municipality of Marieulles-Vezon; the Oury-Schreiber and Jaspard wineries are specifically mentioned. Domaine Oury Schreiber sells its organically certified products directly from the wine cellar.
