Longeville-lès-Metz combines Mont Saint-Quentin with expansive landscapes and striking insights into the town’s history. The “Le tour du Mont Saint-Quentin” circular trail is 8.3 kilometres long, includes 180 metres of elevation gain, and is classified as difficult for both walking and mountain biking. Along the way, there are panoramic views of the Moselle Valley, the vineyards and the hillside villages. The trail crosses the plateau’s chalk grasslands and woodland and reaches a viewpoint overlooking Longeville-lès-Metz, Metz and the Moselle Valley.
Nature
Mont Saint-Quentin is a classified area that is partly part of Natura 2000 and is home to protected habitats and protected species. On the banks of the Moselle lies Parc du Grand Patural, a former horse-racing track with an arboretum and walking paths.

Culture
The historic buildings include the Donjon des Gournay. Its main construction phases date from the 12th and 16th centuries; the Donjon des Gournay is considered one of the oldest buildings in Longeville-lès-Metz. The Donjon des Gournay (ancien) has been listed as a historic monument in France since 6 December 1989.
The Church of Saint-Quentin is a building erected in 1867 in the French Neo-Gothic style. The Church of Saint-Symphorien was designed by Félix Madeline, Yves Rolland and Roger Fraisse. Construction began in 1955, and the church was inaugurated in 1957.
Water
A water sports centre is located on the Île Saint-Symphorien in Longeville-lès-Metz, on the local body of water. DML Longeville-lès-Metz is a marina and nautical club with moorings and launching facilities for boats, jet skis, fishing boats and kayaks. DML club members can enjoy stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and tubing, and discover the Île Saint-Symphorien.
Wine and Local History
Winegrowing played a fundamental role in the life and development of Longeville-lès-Metz. The historic vineyards on Mont Saint-Quentin extended across almost 75 hectares from the 3rd century until around the middle of the 20th century. Jules Buch acquired the Sainte-Croix winery in 1883.
The municipal market was scheduled for the first Sunday of every month except August.
