Buhl-Lorraine: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Henry Metz Airfield in Sarrebourg-Buhl bears the ICAO code LFGT, is a civil airfield for public air traffic, and is located within the municipality of Buhl-Lorraine. It is used for leisure and tourism activities in light aviation and model flying.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint Gall dates from 1743 and houses three rare 18th-century stucco altars. Saint Gall lived in the 7th century.

The Chapel of Saint Peter and Saint Paul was built between 1859 and 1875. Educational panels at the chapel provide information about the local geology.

Photos of the event, which was regarded as miraculous, were distributed worldwide on thousands of postcards.

On 20 August 1914, a shell tore away the stone cross to which a cast-iron figure of Christ was attached. The figure of Christ remained, with its feet attached to the base and its arms outstretched towards the sky.
