The Château de Mercy is located in Ars-Laquenexy, in Le Clos Nord on Allée de la Chapelle. The present building was constructed between 1905 and 1908 and is considered a monumental example of Belle Époque architecture, combining eclectic, historicist and Art Nouveau elements.

Culture and History
The Domaine de Mercy includes a chapel commissioned by Jean Bertrand de Saint Jure, which was built between 1626 and 1627. Its features include a 17th-century portal transferred here from the Sainte-Elisabeth Chapel in Metz, as well as two religious paintings depicting an Assumption and an abbess.
The Église Saint Lambert was rebuilt in two construction phases from 1826 to 1833. The nave, choir and sacristy were newly constructed during this work. The new bell tower was added in 1842 and built by the architect Jacquemin.
Another historical connection is provided by the Notre-Dame des Sept Douleurs Chapel: in 1923, it was moved stone by stone to Ars-Laquenexy and rebuilt next to the parish church in the old cemetery. Following this relocation, a pilgrimage to the chapel was organised each year around 15 September from 1924 onwards.
La Horgne à Ars, also known as La Horgne à Grève, is located at the exit of Ars-Laquenexy on the CD 999 towards Rémilly. It includes an 18th-century residence with an extensive green garden that was an English park in the 19th century.
Gardens and Trails
The Jardins Fruitiers de Laquenexy offer self-guided visits across a 15-hectare site with 22 themed gardens. The site also offers themed guided tours and discovery games. For more than 100 years, the gardens have served as a conservation centre for fruit varieties.
The Circuit des jardins fruitiers is an easy, signposted circular route covering 8.1 kilometres, with an approximate duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The signposted walking trail has a nature and family theme and begins in Laquenexy.
The Sentier n°13 – La Nied française offers views of the Metz metropolitan area and the riverside woodlands along the Nied.
