Puxe: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Puxe, the origins of Château de Puxe date back to the 17th century. The estate includes the Parc du Château de Puxe, an arboretum with more than 40 recorded tree species and the « Remarkable wooded ensemble » distinction awarded by the A.R.B.R.E.S. association.

Culture

Before the French Revolution, Château de Puxe initially belonged to the La Tour family and subsequently to the Saintignon family. For more than 50 years, the château welcomed thousands of visitors for holiday camps, spiritual retreats, banquets and family gatherings.

The Église Saint-Rémy also reflects several historical construction phases: the main sections date from the third quarter of the 12th century, the 16th century and the last quarter of the 19th century. The Romanesque church was rebuilt in the 16th century, with the exception of the lower part of the façade, the choir and the apse. The apse lost its original vault but retained an arcade decoration.

Hiking

The Circuit des trois rivières hiking trail runs through Puxe and is 15 km long. It takes approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete. The trail begins outside Château de Puxe.
