Nancy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nancy showcases its cultural diversity in squares, museums, churches and historic buildings. Place Stanislas, Place de la Carrière and Place d’Alliance form one of the most harmonious urban landscapes of the Enlightenment.

Those choosing Nancy as a destination may be planning to rent a holiday apartment.

Culture

Located on Place Stanislas, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy is an art museum. The Musée de l’École de Nancy is also part of the city’s art history: it is one of the few French museums dedicated to Nancy Art Nouveau and is housed on the former estate of collector Eugène Corbin.

Almost 100 pieces of furniture, paintings and works of art from the collections of the Musée de l’École de Nancy are displayed in Villa Majorelle. Villa Majorelle was opened to the public in 1997.

The Église des Cordeliers is the oldest church in Nancy. It became the dynastic necropolis of the House of Lorraine. Of Nancy’s medieval fortifications, the Porte de la Craffe is the only surviving relic.

Nature

The Pépinière can be accessed via Place Stanislas, Boulevard du 26e RI and Rue Sigisbert Adam. The Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy offers another perspective on nature with two aquarium galleries. Its living collections comprise around 249 species living in 45 aquariums in recreated natural habitats.

Walking Tour

The Parcours centre historique is a 3.5 km self-guided walking tour through Nancy.
