Culture and History
The Mémorial Corrézien de la Résistance, de la Déportation et des Martyrs is located in Vitrac-sur-Montane on the Aire de Corrèze service area along the A89 motorway. The memorial includes a twelve-metre-high, two-trunked Lorraine cross made of Corten steel. From Vitrac-sur-Montane, it can be reached via the A89 and the D1089 departmental road.
The Église Saint-Martin was built in the 12th century as a small Romanesque church and has a Renaissance portal protected by a porch. The church square is home to the “Chêne de la liberté”, described as 200 years old, and the “Tilleul de Sully”, described as 400 years old. A restored bread oven, which is open to visitors, is also located near the church.
