Culture and history
In the 11th century, Beaumont had a fortified castle. The Church of Saint-Léonard was rebuilt in 1665. Most of the church’s paintings were created around 1667 and were listed in 1976 as historic monuments.
In the terraced cemetery, the Chevalier tomb bears a high-relief depiction of a Templar carved on a granite tomb slab. Construction of the Chapelle du Puy-Grand began in 1937; it is a religious heritage site from the 20th century. The cross of the small Calvary is sculpted on both sides.

Beaumont has numerous paths and trails for hiking, which are also suitable for mountain biking. Stage 3 of the GR®46 from Beaumont to Chamboulive leaves the Millevaches Regional Nature Park.
