Nature
The “La forêt de l'Aigoual” route is a 4.5-hour, 11.7-kilometre circular hike that passes through Gatuzières. It leads through forests with gnarled beech trees; away from the route, the GR60 provides the opportunity to reach the summit of Aigoual in two hours.
The “Grande Traversée du Massif Central à VTT” is a difficult, five-day route covering 195.6 kilometres. It can be completed by mountain bike or an electrically assisted mountain bike and passes through the municipalities of Arphy, Avèze, Bassurels, Bédouès-Cocurès, Bez-et-Esparon, Bréau-Mars, Chadenet, Cubières, Dourbies, Florac Trois Rivières, Fraissinet-de-Fourques, Gatuzières, Gorges du Tarn Causses, Hures-la-Parade, Ispagnac, Lanuéjols, Les Bondons, Le Vigan, Mas-Saint-Chély, Meyrueis, Molières-Cavaillac, Mont Lozère et Goulet, Pont de Montvert - Sud Mont Lozère, Rousses, Saint-Étienne-du-Valdonnez, Saint-Sauveur-Camprieu, Val-d’Aigoual and Vebron.
The “Hures - VTT n°6” route is a difficult circular trail of approximately three hours covering 23.2 kilometres that passes through Gatuzières. It runs between unforested and wooded sections across the Causse Méjean plateau.
History and Culture
The Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption in Gatuzières was an old rural priory inhabited by a community of Benedictine canons until the Wars of Religion. Its apse is the only Romanesque part; the rest of the building was rebuilt after the devastation of the Wars of Religion in the 16th and 18th centuries. The interior is entirely painted and contains a complete set of wooden furnishings.

Les Brasseurs de la Jonte has operated as a craft brewery in Gatuzières since the end of 2013. The Les Brasseurs de la Jonte sales outlet offers tastings during the season. In July and August, Les Brasseurs de la Jonte offers a free tour of the production facility from Monday to Friday at 5 p.m., with no reservation required.
