The Site Saint-Pierre comprises a tower and a Romanesque chapel on a natural lookout point 300 metres north of the village. From the Site Saint-Pierre, you can view more than 60 kilometres of the course of the Rhône.
Culture
The remains of the watchtower at the Site Saint-Pierre bear witness to the monitoring of shipping in the Middle Ages. More than forty capitelles have been recorded in Saint-Étienne-des-Sorts as evidence of local rural life. They are built entirely of dry stone masonry, without any binder or mortar.
The hamlet of Jonquier contains elements of an old bastide flanked by towers, dating back to the 14th century. The Saint-Roch oratory is a classic Provençal oratory; it is the only one in the region to feature a “banquet” and was restored in 2001.
