Sabran: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
The preserved north tower of the Château de Sabran is still 15 metres high. In the hamlet of Carmes, there is a restored washhouse; old houses line the lanes.
Those choosing Sabran as a destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Culture
In Colombier, the town centre is grouped around a Romanesque church from the 12th century. A restored communal bread oven occasionally bakes bread there. The Saint-Julien-de-Pistrin Chapel is a restored Romanesque building from the 12th century; since 2010, the music festival “les nuits musicales à Sabran” has taken place there every year.
Nature
In Charavel, numerous signposted paths lead into the nearby forests. Near Donnat, La Vionne beach lies on the banks of the Cèze. The Sentier de la Sabranenque runs through forests of pine, downy oak, holm oak and chestnut trees.
Culinary delights
At the Château de Boussargues, tastings and sales of wines from the Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages appellations are offered; a 4-kilometre footpath through the vineyards runs across the estate. Domaine La Réméjeanne has a tasting cellar with wine sales and offers a signposted, self-guided walk through the vineyards followed by a tasting. At the Château de Bastet, visitors can taste the wines and beers produced there on site.
