History

The Temple de Corbès was officially declared a temple in 1808. It is located in the former Saint Michel church, which was founded by monks from Aniane. The former Saint Michel de Corbès priory is documented as early as the 14th century.

The Jardin Clos de Corbès was created in 1774. It is a hydraulic installation consisting of a spring captured at the bottom of a well and a basin serving as a water reservoir. In 2022, the Jardin Clos de Corbès was renovated; the surrounding walls were restored and a gate was installed.

La Papeterie de Corbès was established around 1820 by converting the Moulin Baron, built in 1791. It specialised in producing the so-called “boucherie” paper, which was made from lime, straw and recycled waste paper.

The Pont du Mescladou is a curved viaduct with eleven arches and is used by the tourist route of the Train à vapeur des Cévennes. It was built during the construction of the railway line from Anduze to Saint-Jean-du-Gard at the beginning of the 20th century and is located at the confluence of the Gardon de Saint-Jean-du-Gard and the Gardon de Mialet.

Le Moulin du Temps is a former silkworm farm that was later used as a sheepfold before falling into disrepair.
