The GR® pilgrimage route Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle from Vauvert to Villetelle passes through Aigues-Vives.

Nature and trails
Aigues-Vives is included in the ZNIEFF nature conservation area “Plaine entre Rhony et Vistre”. The “Plaine entre Rhony et Vistre” comprises small agricultural plots on Tertiary-period rubble, as well as the Rhony and Vistre watercourses, rows of trees, gravel pits, roads, paths and agricultural farms.
The “Plaine entre Rhony et Vistre” is designated as a bird protection area under the Birds Directive.
Culture and history
The Tuilerie, briqueterie Jamais, puis Dumas in Aigues-Vives was founded in 1835 and later expanded with a covered drying shed. It features traditional stone-and-brick architecture and a brick lattice on the façade of the drying shed.
The Maison natale de Gaston Doumergue is located on Place Gaston-Doumergue in Aigues-Vives.
The Prades wine and marc distillery, later Ecole and Finedoc, was established in 1889 by Nemorin Prades and gradually closed between approximately 1975 and 1980.
La Botte Gardiane is a manufacturer of handcrafted leather boots, sandals and shoes founded in 1958. La Botte Gardiane opens its workshop to the public; visitors can watch craftspeople at work there and learn about the shoe-making process.
Aigues-Vives lies entirely within the protected designation of origin area “Olive de Nîmes”.
During the week from 2 to 9 August, concerts by students and public masterclasses were scheduled to take place at the Salle Jean Bosc in Aigues-Vives. The 16th summer edition of the “Aigues-Vives en Musiques” festival was scheduled for the week beginning 2 August.
