The altarpiece of the high altar is located in the Church of Saint-Saturnin in Tourreilles. It is classified as a protected object; this protection was registered on 4 April 1996. The altarpiece is attributed to Jean-Jacques Melair and was restored in 2014. It is divided into four tiers and comprises two paintings and two sculptures.

Culture and history
A statue created by Vincent Perez was inaugurated in Tourreilles Square in 1979. In the Tourreilles cemetery, the graves are arranged along a spiral path leading to the summit. The cemetery’s Calvary cross, located at the top of the hill, was converted into a war memorial after the First World War. The cemetery also includes a memorial garden.
Another historical figure associated with Tourreilles is Pierre Bayle: he served as a volunteer drummer in the republican armies and fell in 1794 at the age of thirteen as a child soldier accompanying the troops.
Paths and landscapes
The historic path between Tourreilles and Magrie was renovated as the Chemin du Petit Tambour. In the first section, information panels about the history of the Petit Tambour were installed in 2018. They were designed by students in the Première class at Lycée Jacques Ruffié in Limoux, with the support of their history teacher, Monsieur Balussou. Every spring, a team clears the Chemin du Petit Tambour of overgrowth.
The Circuit du Vignoble de la Vallée du Cougaing is a hiking route that allows visitors to discover the cultural heritage of the five villages of Ajac, Castelreng, La Digne-d’Aval, La Digne-d’Amont and Tourreilles. The route passes through vineyards, garrigue and holm-oak forests.
Regional traditions
Toques & Clochers traditionally takes place every spring in a village within the Limoux appellation. Tourreilles hosted the 2014 edition of Toques et Clochers, which was attended by around 20,000 visitors.
