Nature

The Cubserviès waterfall is just under 90 m high and is located in the hamlet of Cubserviès.

The Cubserviès Espace Naturel Sensible features explanations of the surrounding cultural heritage.

Hiking

The Saint-Sernin Chapel is 300 m from the hiking loop. It was built entirely from dry stone masonry in the 12th century.

Saint-Sernin Chapel can be reached via the D101; this small road runs between the wine-growing plain and the Orbiel gorges.

Culture

The fully renovated Calvary of Roquefère is located on the slope of a hill at the village exit. It depicts the Stations of the Cross by illustrating scenes from the Passion of Christ. The Calvary of Roquefère dates from 1890.

The small castrum of Roquefère overlooked a bend in the Rieutort and served a strategic function near the peaks of the Montagne Noire.

In Roquefère, visitors can also stop at Sainte-Foy Church, in addition to the château.

Surroundings

The nearby hamlets of Saint Julien and Cubserviès offer an impressive view of the castles of the Cathar Country at Lastours.
