The 2.5 km-long fishing section on the Aude at Preixan runs between the stadium car park and the Route de Mascareille, before the Aire de Preixan. In Preixan and Couffoulens, there is a fishing section designated as a no-kill trout course. All fishing techniques using a single barbless hook are permitted on the fishing section of the Aude at Preixan.

The “Mairie-Preixan” stop on regional liO Occitanie bus route 402 (Axat–Quillan–Limoux–Carcassonne) is located less than 200 metres from Preixan Town Hall.
