Culture

The Chapelle de la Madeleine is one of the town’s notable historic buildings. Its nave can be dated to the 10th or 11th century.

By decree dated 8 September 1949, the Chapelle de la Madeleine was protected as a Monument historique.

The Château de Pech Redon is also listed as a Monument historique.

Water and landscape

The Fresquel flows through Pezens and today provides a natural setting appreciated for walks and recreation.

The banks of the Canal du Midi near Pezens are used by walkers, cyclists and recreational boaters.

North of Pezens, in the garrigue of the municipality of Moussoulens, lies an 80-hectare parcel belonging to the private property of the municipality of Pezens. There is a small pond fed by the Fontgrande spring and a marked hiking trail.

Local life

Every summer, Pezens hosts the Fête du Melon et des produits du terroir on the Pré communal.
