The Pechs et Vallons hiking trail passes through Ventenac-Cabardès and Moussoulens, runs through vineyards and garrigue, and includes an ampelographic section presenting the vine and various grape varieties. The De regord à la Combe Obscure hiking trail passes through garrigue and Mediterranean vegetation featuring thyme, asphodels and orchids.
The Circuit de la Bitarelle circular route crosses a plateau offering very beautiful views of Moussoulens and its castle, as well as of a capitelle. It also offers a panorama of the Pyrenees and, in the distance, Fanjeaux. The route passes through holm-oak forests and over an arid plateau covered with fragrant thyme and thorny bushes.
The Circuit de la Bitarelle follows the Rougeanne and passes the remarkable Zelvoka tree, an elm with hornbeam-like leaves. In the Domaine Galy area, numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails run through vineyards, garrigue and landscapes with dry-stone walls.
Wine and Truffles
The Conservatoire trufficole du Cabardès in Moussoulens covers 2.5 hectares and brings together 11 truffle species as well as rehabilitated natural truffle groves.
The Balade Vigne et Truffières – Domaine Galy activity is a 2.5-hour tour through the vineyards and truffle groves of Domaine Galy, including a tasting. It also includes a 45-minute guided cellar tour with a tasting of the estate's wines and products.
Events
The Ampélofolies du Cabardès is a festive and gastronomic event day in Moussoulens focusing on the terroir, truffles and wines of Cabardès.
The truffle markets announced for the mornings of 13 December 2025 and 3 January 2026 in Moussoulens were open to commercial buyers and private individuals. Private individuals could purchase truffles individually.
