Hiking
The Le Tauch circular hike is 11.5 km long, takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, and has an elevation gain of 320 metres. It passes through oak forests on the foothills of Mont Tauch to the Col de Ferréol and offers views of the Pyrenees.
The Le Pech circular hike is 4.5 km long, takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, and has an elevation gain of 200 metres. The route starts at the car park at the entrance to Maisons, reaches a summit 498 metres high, and offers views of the surrounding villages and former mines.
Stage 1/4 of the Tour de la Montagne du Tauch also begins in Maisons. It is signposted with white-and-red GR markings.
Culture
The Eglise Saint Jean church in Maisons has a semicircular-arched portal dating from 1653.
Water
The Plan d'eau Le Gourg body of water in Maisons offers supervised swimming in July and August. It is located amid the garrigue and pine forests of the Hautes-Corbières.
