Laure-Minervois: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste has been listed in its entirety as a historic monument by decree of 7 June 2006. Its architecture is characteristic of southern French Gothic from the early 14th century.

Culture
The Tour du Portail-Neuf has been listed as a historic monument since 17 February 1926. It was the main entrance to Laure on the side facing Carcassonne. Next to the gate are the points where the chains that once operated the drawbridge were located.
The covered Saint-Eugène gallery is 16 metres long, is classified as a historic monument, and is situated at the top of a hill in the woods of the Domaine de Russol in Laure-Minervois. Human remains were discovered at the site of the gallery, corresponding to the mortal remains of around 300 people.
Nature and Trails
At the Domaine Fontanille Haut, visitors can explore a botanical nature trail through the garrigue. Another route is “Les capitelles – Chemin de la Guinette”, an easy, one-hour, 3.5-kilometre circular walk. It starts and ends at the town hall of Laure-Minervois and reaches a restored capitelle near a small sinkhole.
History
The capitelles in Laure-Minervois are dry-stone huts and evidence of rural history and the work of the rural population. The Tour de Mézolieux stood on the Cami Roumiu, a Roman road.
