The Étang de La Palme is located in the heart of a Natura 2000 site and is a sensitive natural area recognised for its biodiversity. At the same time, it has one of the last natural graus on the French Mediterranean coast.

You can go hiking at Cap Romarin. Garrigue and dry grasslands meet there; the habitats characterised by numerous dry-stone walls are home to an exceptional flora and fauna. Plage du Rouet de La Palme is an unspoilt fine-sand beach measuring 2.5 kilometres in length.

The Salin de La Palme has a signposted circular trail called “Des Salines au Rouet”. The signposted trail runs for 4 kilometres from the car park at the Salin de La Palme to a railway crossing. Visitors can explore the Salin de La Palme by electric train or electric scooter and learn about salt production along the way. The Boutique du Saunier at the Salin de La Palme offers fleur de sel, seasoned salts, wine and regional products.

Culture

The Porte de la Barbacane is a 16th-century town gate and is listed as a historic monument. It is also the main entrance to the fortifications of the village of La Palme. The Chapelle Saint Pancrace stands among vineyards and garrigue near the village of La Palme and the ancient Via Domitia.
