Culture and History
The Église Saint-Michel is a single-nave church with a semicircular apse. Below the village are Les jardins, with small plots enclosed by dry-stone walls and irrigated by small canals and irrigation sluices. Since around 1960, the Fontaine de Duilhac has borne a verse by Ronsard.
The Château de Peyrepertuse is a castle in the immediate vicinity of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse. The Château de Quéribus is a castle in the area around Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse. The Château d'Aguilar is also a castle in the area around Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse; the Château de Termes lies further afield in the region.
Landscape and Water
The Roc du Col Serbat, La Quille, the Roc de Sagnes and the Roc du Courbas are peaks in the immediate vicinity of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse. At the Moulin de Ribaute there are numerous pools, small cascades and rocky beaches.
The section of the Sentier Cathare from Padern to Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse is a 15-kilometre hike with a walking time of around five hours, 731 metres of elevation gain and white-and-red GR trail markings. It reaches Duilhac at the D14 and connects in the direction of the Château de Peyrepertuse with the GR 36.
Free parking spaces P1 and P2 are available on the Route du Château for access to the Moulin de Ribaute.
