Culture and History
The church of Antugnac is a fortified Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. During the Wars of Religion, it served as a refuge for the inhabitants. The surrounding wall and a battlemented parapet resting on preserved masonry have survived.
Historically, a Rogation procession led from the village of Antugnac to the Chapelle Croux, which is also known as Sainte-Croix. The chapel was completely rebuilt and inaugurated in 1998.

Landscape
The village of Antugnac lies amphitheatrically on the southern slope of a hill. Antugnac overlooks a valley through which the Croux flows. The sunny slopes around Antugnac are associated with the sparkling white wine “Blanquette de Limoux”.
Wine
The Sentier des Vignes runs through the vineyards in Antugnac; these vineyards belong to the “Blanquette de Limoux” appellation.
Domaine Delmas cultivates 34 hectares of vineyards, which have been farmed organically since 1986. From Monday to Friday, the estate welcomes visitors to taste its sparkling and still wines. Domaine Delmas offers tours by prior arrangement.
Altugnac, formerly Château d’Antugnac, offers tours of its winery and barrel cellar. At Altugnac, the estate’s cuvées are tasted under the guidance of the cellar manager. Altugnac also offers guided tours for individuals and groups.
Nature
Cyril Orliac Fauconnerie offers nature walks in the Cathar region. Birds of prey can be observed during these walks; a golden eagle is used for this purpose.
