Culture and History
The Maison de la Négritude et des Droits de l’Homme is a memorial site that refers to Article 29 of the Cahier des Doléances of Champagney. As early as 1789, the inhabitants called for the abolition of the enslavement of Black people. The Maison addresses slavery in the past and present and was founded in 1971.

The Église Saint-Laurent houses a carved and polychrome-painted wooden pulpit dating from the 18th century. The Comtois bell tower also contains 35 restored bells.

The Sentier La Rochotte has two possible starting points: Place Charles de Gaulle in the centre of Champagney and Chemin du Champey. The trail is a woodland walk with beautiful viewpoints over Champagney, the large basin and the Rahin Valley.
The Sentier La Rochotte offers the opportunity to observe diverse geology and a species-rich flora including cow wheat, foxglove, broom, canules and columbine.
