Culture and history
The Lavoir-abreuvoir de Foucherans was built in 1855 with limestone walls and a roof made of mechanical tiles. The former Chapelle Saint-Maximin was destroyed in 1777 and rebuilt between 1865 and 1867.
The Musée rural de Foucherans is housed in a 17th-century farmhouse that preserves a stone Tué, typical of the farmhouses of the Franche-Comté plateau, and a bread oven. The museum displays collections that evoke rural interiors from the period before mechanisation.
