At Champagne Dérouillat in Monthelon, visitors can tour the vineyard, the press, the fermentation room and the cellars. The winery also offers cellar and vineyard tours as well as tastings. Champagne Le Gouive Père et Fils offers tours by appointment.
Trails and landscape
The difficult PR 141 Circuit des Trois Coteaux hiking trail is 19 km long, takes 6 hours, has an elevation gain of 550 m and passes through Monthelon. Three picnic areas in Monthelon offer panoramic views over the Champagne wine-growing landscape.
Village culture
The Church of Saint Nicholas in Monthelon was built in 1869. It houses around fifty statues and preserves treasures from the predecessor church dating from the 12th century.
During a walk through Monthelon, visitors can discover a village washhouse. A fresco depicting winegrowing can also be found on the quay of the cooperative in Monthelon.
