East of Moiry lies the Vallée de la Marche et du Paquy à Auflance, Moiry et Sapogne-sur-marche, designated as a type 1 ZNIEFF; it is also a remarkable wetland. The Vallées de la Marche et du Paquis à Auflance, Moiry et Sapogne-sur-Marche are likewise classified as a type 1 ZNIEFF.
Nature
Certain sections of the Marche in Moiry are subject to a biotope protection order. The Marche is one of the three watercourses named in Moiry. Its tributary is the ruisseau des Prés de Pure.
There are several springs in the area around Moiry: Grosse Fontaine, Source La Noire Fontaine, Fontaine de Laveux and Fontaine aux Bouillons.
Culture
The church of Moiry has stained-glass windows signed by Jacques Michel. The church also contains a Madonna and Child created by the artist Calka.

History
The Moiry casemate was evacuated by order during the night of 12–13 June 1940 after it had been blown up. The Moiry casemate is a double infantry casemate.
