Culture and Village Character

The Lavoir Ruha is a washhouse in a grotto with a slate barrel vault; a spring emerges from the hillside there. The Église Saint-Nicolas in Haulmé dates from 1716. Its recently renovated bell tower defines the centre of the village.

Anyone choosing Haulmé as a destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Landscape

Tournavaux and Haulmé lie on a broad plain within a partly deeply incised valley surrounded by wooded hills and ridges. The area of Haulmé in the Semoy Valley has been protected as a picturesque protected site since 22 September 1972 and covers 367.5 ha.

Between Navaux and Haulmé, the Semoy forms a broad river bend dominated on the left bank by the steep, wooded heights of the Chaudron. The Le Liry viewpoint offers panoramic views of the Semoy Valley as well as the villages of Haulmé and Tournavaux.

Water

At the Domaine d’Haulmé, a 11 km canoe or kayak trip is offered, lasting approximately 1.5 to 3 hours depending on speed and water levels. Canoë Semoy rents out canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at the campsite in the municipality of Haulmé.
